No One Gets Left Behind

It has taken me 3 months, 6 months, maybe 30 years, to get up the courage to do this.

I am a business founder and a father. I studied philosophy in college, and the questions I wrestled with back then feel startlingly relevant now. I'm also a poker player, an ex-professional dancer, and a person on a spiritual journey that has taken me through meditation, yoga, zen, and eventually the truth of nonduality. All of those wanderings have led me here, to the intersection of the deeply philosophical and the technological.

I have a vision that floats around with me. It appears in-between waking and sleeping. Peeking through when I'm not incessantly busy with my business or my family. It's so close now. Imagine what we could build together if our hearts weren't so filled with fear, greed, and scar tissue. No disease, no poverty, endless worlds to create and explore. New avenues of creativity and intimacy we can barely glimpse from where we stand.

No One Gets Left Behind

That's the motto of this project. I mean it economically, we have in our hands the power to end poverty and need globally. I mean it technologically, the FOMO is crushing, and we can transcend that fear of being left behind. But more than anything I mean it spiritually. People are falling into pits of their own making and we will not leave them there.

This is the community I'm building. A place for the people who stay up late reading about AI and feel both thrilled and uneasy at the same time. For the parents trying to figure out what all this means for the world their kids will grow up in. For the introverts and the dreamers. For anyone who senses that we are entering a time when what we really want is actually achievable, and who understands that before making that wish with the genie, you had better be damn clear about what you want.

I will be writing my soul onto these pages. We need to work these questions around in our hearts until we arrive at a crystal clear picture of who we are and what we really want as human beings.

Each essay picks one specific question and digs in. Real data, cited sources, honest about what we know and what we don't. The essays are visual, designed to be read on screen, with charts that animate as you scroll and technical terms that explain themselves when you hover over them.

Alongside the essays, we build interactive tools. The Longevity Escape Velocity Calculator lets you estimate your personal odds of outliving aging. More tools are coming for career impact, AI readiness, and other questions that deserve a personalized answer.

How We Work

Claims are sourced. When we build a model or estimate, we show our assumptions. If we're uncertain about something, we say so. We'd rather leave a question open than pretend we've answered it.

This publication uses AI in its production. That's worth being direct about. The editorial judgment, the research direction, the questions we choose to ask, and the conclusions we draw are human. The tools that help us write, design, and analyze are increasingly not. We think that's honest and appropriate for a publication about AI's role in human life.
